Welcome to rundum.dog! By using our platform, you agree to the following terms of use. Please read them carefully.

1. Scope

These terms of use govern the use of the rundum.dog platform, operated by dataloft GmbH, Rietweg 1, 8506 Lanzenneunforn, Switzerland.
They apply to all users from Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

2. What rundum.dog offers and why

rundum.dog is an independent knowledge and service portal for dog people in the D-A-CH region. Its aim is to make a lasting contribution to animal welfare through sound knowledge, guidance and networking.

We provide editorial content, directories, events, expert articles and interactive features. There is no entitlement to permanent availability or to specific features.

3. User accounts

Some features require a user account. There are two account types:

• Standard accounts for visitors, with limited features
• Professional accounts with extended features, in particular for publishing articles, events, job advertisements and company profiles

When registering, users must provide truthful and complete information and keep it up to date.

Login details must be kept confidential. Passing them on to third parties is not permitted.

4. Content by users and external authors

Registered users can publish content such as comments, articles, events, profiles, images or other media.

By publishing, you grant rundum.dog the non-exclusive right, unlimited in time and territory, to store, display, distribute and make this content accessible within the platform.

External authors additionally grant rundum.dog the right to use their articles and excerpts from them on rundum.dog’s social media channels and in project-related communication materials.

You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to the published content and that no third-party rights are infringed. If people can be recognised in uploaded images or in articles, you also confirm that you have obtained their consent to publication and, for minors, the consent of their parents or other persons with parental responsibility.

5. Rules of conduct

On rundum.dog, the following is prohibited in particular:

• unlawful, insulting, discriminatory or violence-glorifying content
• calls for animal cruelty, violence or illegal acts
• false information about identity or qualifications
• misuse of the platform for advertising, spam or fraud

We reserve the right to review, edit or remove content and to block or delete user accounts in the event of violations.

6. Professionals, service providers and company profiles

Any person or organisation can create a company profile on rundum.dog. The respective providers are themselves responsible for the accuracy, currency and lawfulness of the information.

rundum.dog gives no guarantee regarding the qualifications, availability or quality of the listed professionals and service providers.

There is no entitlement to publication or permanent listing.

7. Comments and community

All registered users can publish comments on articles.

Comments must be factual, respectful and on topic. We reserve the right to moderate or remove comments without giving reasons.

8. Ratings and reviews

Registered users can rate professionals, service providers and directory listings and write reviews. In addition to the other provisions, the following applies:

• Reviews must be based on your own actual experience and be truthful. Untrue statements of fact, abusive criticism, insults and reviews not based on the reviewer’s own dealings with the provider are not permitted.
• Reviews must be kept factual; the rules of conduct in section 5 apply accordingly.
• Fake, purchased or self-interested reviews (self-reviews, reviews by employees or relatives), the targeted harming of competitors and multiple or fake accounts are prohibited.
• Reviews must not contain personal data of third parties unless this is necessary and permissible for a factual account.

rundum.dog checks reviews before publication and reserves the right to reject, shorten or remove them. There is no entitlement to publication. Reviews are generally displayed without the full name (for example only with the first name or initials); by submitting a review, you agree to this display.

Rated professionals with a verified profile can reply to a review once, factually and publicly. Anyone who considers a review unlawful or untrue can report it via the contact option; rundum.dog checks such reports and removes unlawful or obviously untrue reviews.

The grant of rights in section 4 applies accordingly to review texts. Submitting reviews is voluntary and free of charge and not part of any paid offer; a paid listing creates neither a claim to positive reviews nor to the removal of factual, lawful reviews. rundum.dog does not adopt the content of user reviews as its own.

9. Health, training and legal information

The content provided on rundum.dog is for general information only and does not replace veterinary, behavioural, legal or other professional advice.

For questions about health, behaviour or legal matters, please always contact suitably qualified professionals.

10. Trademarks and logo

rundum.dog is a registered trademark. The logo and all associated marks are legally protected.

Use of these marks or the logo by third parties is only permitted with the prior written consent of dataloft GmbH.

11. Use of content by third parties

We expressly welcome other websites, associations or organisations sharing content from rundum.dog in the interest of animal welfare.

We ask for a clear attribution and a linked reference to rundum.dog as the source of the content.

Commercial use or changes to the substance of our content require prior consent.

12. Donations and use of funds

Visitors can support rundum.dog voluntarily with donations.

All income via rundum.dog remains entirely within the project and is used exclusively for operating and expanding the platform and for further animal welfare projects.

There is no entitlement to anything in return unless expressly stated otherwise.

13. Free use and future offers

Use of rundum.dog is currently free of charge.

We reserve the right to introduce paid offers, premium features or advertising formats in the future. Users will be informed of this in good time.

14. Liability

rundum.dog is not liable for damage arising from the use or non-use of the content provided, unless it is based on intentional or grossly negligent conduct.

We accept no responsibility for content from users or from linked external websites.

15. Copyright

All content created by rundum.dog is subject to Swiss copyright law. Use outside the platform requires prior written consent, unless these terms of use provide otherwise.

16. Changes to the terms of use

rundum.dog reserves the right to amend these terms of use at any time. The current version is available on the website.

17. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss law applies exclusively. To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction is the registered office of dataloft GmbH.
